Permits to import a boat
All Trailers will require an Import Trailer Permit from the Department of Infrastructure for boat shipping, Australia. The maximum legal width of a trailer in Australia is 2.5m without requiring a road permit for transport every time you want to take your boat out.
Air-conditioning requires an Import Permit or the gas must be removed prior to shipping to Australia. DAZMAC can handle the import permit for your boat trailers and air-conditioning if required. There is a low volume exceptions for one off importers available.

Australian Quarantine will inspect all 2nd hand boats & trailers. To avoid additional costs on arrival from quarantine cleaning, we strongly recommend all boats and yachts are steam/pressure cleaned, vacuumed and have fresh Antifouling to help avoid any additional quarantine washing and fumigation charges on arrival.
